Fundraising Tips
1) Organize your group.
Your fundraising group consists of players/participants, parents, volunteers, coaches, club presidents, and anyone else who will be helping with your fundraising campaign. These people will need to know when the fundraiser is being planned so they can prepare.
Make sure to divide up the responsibilities so everybody has a job! If everyone knows what they have to do, the fundraiser will go smoothly and become a great success!
Its important to determine how many cards each person is expected to sell at this stage. Generally we recommend 10 cards per person this will generate $50 per participant.
2) Advertise your discount card campaign!
People need to know your selling these cards so they can pick them up! For the discount cards 2 to 3 weeks should be plenty of time to sell the 10 cards per person. Advertise with posters and flyers on community bulletin boards. Post these in laundry mats, hockey rinks, and other places that offer bulletin boards for free posting. Send emails and mailings to all your contacts, tell everyone you know about your fundraiser. Also contact your local tv, radio station, and newspaper. They often include your fundraising information in their community news!
3) Motivate your group
Keep your group motivated by having a party and contest. When you set goals and contests the participants generally sell more than those groups that don't offer incentives!
Lastly, we wish your group much success in its next fundraiser! We hope we can be of service to your group in the near future!
